I chose to attend Iona College because...

Coming from a tight-knit high school on North Ave, I knew that I wanted to attend a college where I would have a name and not just be a number. I wanted to go somewhere that would give me the same sense of community I felt at my high school. My parents actually met at Iona, and as soon as I visited campus I fell in love with it. I really enjoy the small class sizes, beautiful campus, and my amazing friends. I found my home at Iona and hope you will too!

What is your favorite place on campus?

My favorite place on campus is the Harry Potter room in our library. I know that I can always get my homework done there, and its the only place I can sit and focus on writing a paper. I love the charm in that room, and it was definitely the most memorable place from the campus tour in my opinion!

What has been your most memorable experience at Iona?

I think my most memorable experience was homecoming weekend of my freshman year. Iona hosted so many activities on campus and I really enjoyed spending that time with my friends. I don't really know how to describe it, but everything just felt so perfect and I was really happy that I decided to come to Iona. At that moment I truly felt that Iona was my home away from home!

Community service! I have always been involved in countless service opportunities. I love that the Iona community places such a huge emphasis on giving back to others. My high school's motto was Serviam which means "I will serve", and I am glad that I can continue my service experiences in college. There are so many opportunities to get involved and I can't wait to get even more involved this year.
