of the program and the people. I wanted to attend a school with Speech Pathology as a major. Not only does Iona Speech Pathology, but it also offers the opportunity to be an undergraduate student clinician. In addition to the program, when I stepped on campus, I felt it was a home away from home. As the fifth of seven children in my family, I wanted a school that would offer me a "family". When I walk across campus, there are always so many people I know passing by. I love the feeling of being part of such a great community.
LaPenta Student Union is my favorite place on campus. It has food and fun! You can't get much better than that!
My most memorable experience was studying abroad in Ireland the spring of my junior year. I cannot express enough how much this experience changed my outlook on the world. The beauty of nature, the history, and the culture of Ireland was astonishing. I was also able to travel to Germany, Paris, Northern Ireland, London, and Amsterdam during my time abroad. This semester taught me to be independent and curious as well as foster communication skills with people of all different cultures. It also allowed me to explore and have adventures every single day. This program through Iona is an unforgettable experience.
serving as a Student Campus Minister. There are 13 campus ministers at Iona that each lead a Service Project on campus. I currently lead Project Sunshine, where Iona students visit local hospitals to do crafts with inpatient children. I love seeing the joy we bring to each child as we get to know them and spread a little sunshine.
