I felt I have moved the world by first moving my own world and allowing myself to step outside of my comfort zone and join clubs and organizations I never thought I would have. By doing so, I have been able to make a difference in all the different clubs I am involved in and directly impact the people around me in a positive way.
I love the family like campus where it seems big enough to meet new people but small enough to always see the same faces. The campus is beautiful and the people are great.
My most memorable experience at Iona College has probably been going on my first midnight run freshman year. The midnight run is an event where you collect clothes and food for the less fortunate and deliver it to them. The event happened to be on September 11th and it was my first experience of getting myself out there and involved.
My favorite place on campus is a special bench that overlooks the part of the campus where the field and Hagan school of business is. I like this place because it is a nice unique place to stop and reflect and is not known about by all students at the college. The bench is a reminder to me of what I love about the school which is that it is small enough to never get lost but big enough to always find something new.
